As COVID-19 forced us to socially distance this spring, Arcadia was innovating about how prospective students could tour campus in bloom and learn about all that the University has to offer. In that spirit, the University launched its first 校园在线和驾车旅游 4月3日。
Viewers from around the world could view campus captured in 360º photos, videos, and enjoy voice-overs from Arcadia students describing the beauty of Haber Green, the history of Grey Towers Castle, and state-of-the-art facilities, like the esports arena and Black Box Theater.
Additionally, visitors could take the University’s first-ever driving tour along the Walk of Pride to the Church Road entrance and then around the main road of campus. This safe, social distancing approach allowed visitors to hear from recent alumni and current students about what they love on campus—everything from the chicken wrap at the 用餐 Hall to research opportunities at Boyer Hall.
Since its launch, over 4,200 users from across the country, as well as Canada, the Philippines, UK, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Germany, France, India, and Italy have been engaged in the tours through a desktop computer, smartphone, or tablet.
“My high school junior and I took advantage of this today,” wrote Jeanie Riggs about the driving tour on May 25. Riggs and her family drove up to campus from Bel Air, Md. “We both fell in love with the campus and look forward to learning more about the academics and admissions policies.”
